New Home Sales Are Up 40.6% in the South

A recent headline in Houston Agent Magazine highlighted the growth in new home sales the South has seen year-over-year. The story cited data reported by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Nationally new home sales (adjusted annual rate) were at 733,000. This is 31.6% above the October 2018 estimate of 557,000. The South reported even more promising numbers up 40.6% year-over-year.
