Nov 25, 2019

A recent story in the National Association Home Builders (NAHB) Eye on Housing cited Texas for leading the nation in construction sector job growth last month. Low housing inventory and high demand promote hiring as homebuilders work to fill the gap.

“Year-over-year, the U.S. added 148,000 construction sector jobs which is a 2.0% increase compared to October 2018. Texas added 51,400 jobs, which was the largest gains of any state,” the NAHB reported.

The report went on to say that of the 48 states that reported construction data, 28 had increases including residential and non-residential construction.
